RPSEA member Det Norske Veritas (DNV), API and other organizations are emphasizing the importance of assessing the "level of readiness" for new technologies. This can be achieved using scales like the Technology Readiness Levels (TRL). RPSEA is following this guidance and requesting all proposers to consider the TRL and a systematic technology qualification (TQ) process when responding to RPSEA’s requests for proposals (RFPs). This joint RPSEA and DNV forum will provide an overview of the TQ process and TRL use.
This forum is a great opportunity for RPSEA members and committee members who are involved in developing/testing/deploying/utilizing new technologies to learn more about the RPSEA RFP process. Specifically, the forum is targeted to technical personnel participating in the RPSEA program, including proposers and committee members. The focus will exemplify more of the offshore than the onshore.
